Walnut Man Charged in Prentiss County Bad Check Investigation
RENTISS COUNTY, Miss. — A Walnut man has been charged with two counts of issuing bad checks following an investigation by the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department.
According to authorities, Deputy A.J. Navarro responded to a complaint after a victim reported receiving two bad checks totaling $4,185.82. The victim later signed affidavits related to the incident, leading to the issuance of warrants.
As a result of the investigation, Brian Lee Jones of Walnut was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Bad Checks.
Justice Court Judge Ray Hall set Jones’ bond at $20,000.
The case remains under investigation and is expected to be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury by Investigator Kolby Knight.
Investigators Torie Jumper and Aaron Stolz also assisted with the investigation.
