5-County Junior High Tournament at Booneville High School
The annual 5-County Junior High Tournament tips off today in Booneville. The final four junior high basketball teams from Alcorn, Lee, Prentiss, Tippah and Union counties will be in competition. Tippah County Junior High Tournament girls’ champ, Chalybeate, will face Ingomar Junior High at 4:30 p.m. at Booneville High School. Chalybeate won the 5-County Junior High Tournament girls’ title in 2022 to cap off a perfect 23-0 season. The Ripley Middle School girls take the court at 7:30 p.m. against Iuka Junior High girls’, winners of the Tishomingo County junior high girls’ title.
HS BASKETBALL: North Pontotoc at Falkner
It’s Senior Night for Falkner Basketball as North Pontotoc comes to town. The Lady Eagles and Lady Vikings start the action at 6 pm. The Eagles and Vikings follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
