Tippah County hospital has plans to build a new 55,000 square foot hospital Nd they have begun demolition on the site where it is to be built.
Demolition began on hospital street across from the south side of the existing hospital on Monday.
The property across the street, formerly Dr Taylors office and a residential home, were recently purchased by the hospital. The residence was demolished.
The hospital will be able to build a new hospital without raising current taxes according to the Board.
No timetable has been set on a completion date for the new hospital.
