A notice from Northeast says the stretch of West Veterans Boulevard near North College Street will be closed for about three days starting May 26 or May 27, weather permitting.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said 348 students earned spots on its Spring 2026 President’s List after posting perfect 4.0 grade-point averages. The college posted the full list of honorees online.

Riley Perkins of Northeast was awarded the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi scholarship and will attend the University of Mississippi this fall, the school said.

NEMCC said its marketing interns gained hands-on experience creating content, covering events and learning behind-the-scenes marketing. Applications for the fall semester are now open.

Andie Kate Ramey finished fourth at the NJCAA National Tournament and was named a first-team All-America selection in the first year of Northeast’s women’s golf program, the program said.
