Mississippi Department of Public Safety sets Aug. 29 deadline for Trooper Class 71 applications

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said applications for Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper Class 71 will close Aug. 29.

The department said recruits will serve on highways and in specialized assignments, adding that duties can vary day to day.

The agency directed prospective applicants to its website, dps.ms.gov, for application submission.

The department identified the opening as Trooper Class 71 and urged interested candidates to apply before the Aug. 29 deadline, the agency said.
