Applications due Saturday for Mississippi Highway Patrol Cadet Class 71

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said applications for the Mississippi Highway Patrol Cadet Class 71 are due Saturday, Aug. 29.

The department urged prospective troopers to apply in a social media post that said, “Take the challenge. Earn the badge. Join the tradition,” and identified Cadet Class 71 as the recruiting group.

Interested applicants were directed to apply at dps.ms.gov, the post said. The department included hashtags such as #JoinMHP and #TrooperClass71 in the announcement.
