Artist creating Native American and wildflower mural in downtown Ripley
A mural celebrating Native American imagery and native wildflowers is being painted on the side of the future Brown & Covington Building in downtown Ripley, Ripley Main Street said.
Local artist Annie Simpson Rivers is creating the work as part of a Ripley Main Street project, the organization said.
Ripley Main Street said the mural was made possible by a grant from the Mississippi Hills National Heritage Area.
The organization said it looks forward to sharing the finished piece with the public and asked residents to stay tuned for updates.
