NHTSA Urges Motorcycle Riders to Designate Sober Driver Before Drinking
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urged motorcycle riders to designate a sober driver before they have any alcohol and to arrange a secure place to leave their bike, the agency said.
The message, aimed at summer weekend riders, told bikers to plan ahead so they “get you home in one piece,” the agency said.
NHTSA framed the reminder as part of broader safety outreach and used tags such as #DriveSober, #MotorcycleSafety and #DriveSmartMS, the agency said.
The agency did not provide additional details with the release of the advisory.
