Blue Mountain Christian University professor wins 2026 Humanities Teacher Award
John Mayer, an assistant professor of criminal justice at Blue Mountain Christian University, received the 2026 Humanities Teacher Award from the Mississippi Humanities Council, the university said.
Blue Mountain Christian University described Mayer as a retired FBI special agent and a dedicated educator.
The university said Mayer continues to make a lasting impact by equipping students with knowledge, experience and a passion for truth.
The university encouraged the community to join in congratulating Mayer on the award, according to the school’s announcement.
