National Weather Service flags flash flood risk along Tennessee-Kentucky border
The National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee, said Friday that the area south of a stationary front faces an elevated risk of flash flooding along the Tennessee-Kentucky border over the next two days.
The agency said confidence in the overall flash-flood threat is three out of five, according to a social media post from the Memphis office.
The service added that a few strong to severe thunderstorms over the same area cannot be ruled out, but it gave that possibility a one-out-of-five confidence level.
