Blue Mountain Christian University recognizes Jack Moser for more than 37 years of service

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Mississippi — Aug. 14, 2026 — Blue Mountain Christian University said it recognized Jack Moser on Friday for more than 37 years of service to the institution, its students and its Christ-centered mission. The university said Moser joined what was then Blue Mountain College in 1989 and has served in teaching, coaching and administrative roles.

The university said Moser was an assistant professor of physical education from 1989 to 2010 and returned as an associate professor of physical education in 2018. It credited him with long-term mentorship of students on campus and noted his work beyond academics to foster spiritual growth and personal development.

Blue Mountain Christian University said Moser coached the Lady Toppers basketball team from 1989 to 2006 and was named Co-Coach of the Year for the 2001-2002 season. He later coached the junior varsity men’s team from 2017 to 2023. The university said colleagues and former players pointed to his emphasis on faith, discipline, teamwork and servant leadership.

The university said Moser has served as its NAIA faculty athletic representative since 2023 and received the Southern States Athletic Conference Dr. Ron Melton Faculty Athletic Representative of the Year Award in 2025. Moser was quoted in the university release saying, “My prayer is to be used by God in whatever way He chooses as we attempt to positively influence these students and athletes for Christ,” and, “It has been a privilege to serve at BMCU since 1989 in different capacities. The Lord has taught me many things and pray that I have been able to help further His mission through BMCU.” The university described his career as a record of faith, service and leadership that has influenced generations of students.
