Booneville 6th Graders Celebrate D.A.R.E. Graduation with Ceremony and Skating Party
Booneville Middle School sixth graders celebrated their graduation from the D.A.R.E. program with a ceremony last Thursday. Fire Inspector Jerius Maxey opened the event with a prayer for guidance.
Sgt. Josh Walden and Officer Jonathan Timbes presented certificates to students, some of whom were recognized for outstanding posters that highlighted their learnings. Booneville Mayor Lori Tucker encouraged students to make safe, smart, and responsible choices and to serve as community leaders.
Following the ceremony, students enjoyed a skating party at Skaterz skating rink. Organizers thanked local businesses and organizations, including Langston and Lott, Daniel Tucker Law, Morgan Movers LLC, Travis Childer’s Realty, Greg Beard Law Office, Walmart, Little Caesars Pizza, and Booneville Church of Christ, for supporting the celebration.
