Cadet Class 70 completed its ninth week of training, training officials said, focusing on boxing, DUI investigations and safe handling of roadside altercations.

Officials said the sessions were designed to sharpen physical skills, investigative techniques and tactics for managing confrontations during traffic stops.

Training officials said the exercises are part of the ongoing curriculum for the cadet class as it progresses through the academy schedule.
