Madison County to hold public hearing on Weisenberger Road widening

The Madison County Board of Supervisors will host an open forum public hearing June 30 on the proposed widening of Weisenberger Road from Parkway East to Highway 51, the board said.

The session will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Gluckstadt Police Department and Municipal Court, 140 Gluckstadt Way in Madison, Mississippi, the board said.

The event, organized in coordination with the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, will be a come-and-go forum where attendees can view the county’s plans and speak with project representatives, the board said.

Citizens may make written or taped comments during the hearing, which will become part of the permanent record, the board said. Comment forms will be accepted through Wednesday, July 15. More information and project documents are available on the Mississippi Department of Transportation environmental portal at https://mdot.ms.gov/portal/environmental, the board said.
