Oxford Mayor Robyn Tannehill told The Extra Mile Podcast that the widening of Highway 7 is progressing rapidly and is vital for driver safety.
Tannehill provided an update on the project’s rapid progress and said the improvements are intended to enhance safety for motorists, according to the podcast interview.
She credited teamwork among the City of Oxford, the Mississippi Legislature and the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) for making the project a reality, Tannehill said.
The comments were made during a visit by The Extra Mile Podcast to Oxford to interview Tannehill about the widening work and its effects on the community.
