Officials from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Special Operations Division and Major Crimes Division spoke at the Hinds County Citizens Academy earlier this week, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety said.
The team provided an overview of public safety alert programs, including AMBER Alerts, Endangered Missing Child Alerts, Silver Alerts and Blue Alerts, the department said.
The department said the presentation was intended to educate residents about the alerts and the resources available to assist in locating missing or endangered individuals.
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said it appreciated the opportunity to engage with the community and highlight tools aimed at helping keep Mississippi safe.
