The Mississippi Department of Transportation, in a Worker Wednesday post, highlighted Tom Gurley as its District 2 fiscal administrator and credited him with helping keep northern Mississippi projects on track, the agency said.
MDOT said Gurley has worked for the agency 15 years and is based at the District 2 headquarters in Batesville. The agency said he oversees procurements, contract audits and budgets across multiple divisions.
The agency said Gurley’s work requires integrity, critical thinking and a deep understanding of how decisions affect the larger program.
MDOT called Gurley an invaluable member of the team and expressed appreciation for his service, the agency said.
