Mid-South Faces Major Heat and Humidity Risk Tuesday, Forecasters Say

Forecasters said heat and humidity will ramp up to a major risk — Level 3 of 4 — Tuesday for most of the Mid-South and will persist through late week.

They described the event as the first significant taste of summertime heat and warned that conditions could be dangerous without precautions.

Forecasters urged residents to prepare by staying hydrated, checking on neighbors and never leaving children or pets in vehicles.

They also advised people to stay weather aware as the pattern continues through the end of the week.
