Mississippi DOT holds meeting with local agencies, FHWA in Jackson

The Mississippi Department of Transportation said Thursday, July 9, that its Local Public Agency Division hosted a collaborative meeting at the MDOT Administration Building in Jackson.

MDOT said local public agencies, consultants, the Federal Highway Administration and department staff attended the session.

The meeting was aimed at discussing what works, what does not, and what can be improved, MDOT said.

MDOT said the LPA Division oversees the planning, design and construction of transportation projects undertaken by cities, counties and other local governments that use federal funding, primarily from the FHWA.

The department said it posted photos of the meeting on its social channels and used the hashtag #WorkingForYou.
