Mississippi agency urges SNAP recipients to report changes within 10 days
The Mississippi Department of Human Services said it is working to improve how SNAP benefits are processed to reduce errors and shorten the time it takes for recipients to receive benefits.
MDHS urged recipients to report changes within 10 days, submit any requested documents and use the Common Web portal to check their notices, the agency said.
MDHS said those steps help improve processing and can make a big difference for timely benefit delivery.
The agency directed recipients to its website for information on upcoming features and tools to make reporting easier: https://www.mdhs.ms.gov/help/snap/upcoming-snap-updates/.
