NWS: Low tornado risk but possible EF2-strength twisters; flash flooding possible near Memphis
The National Weather Service office in Memphis, Tennessee, said in a midday update that there is a low risk of tornadoes tonight, but any that form could be strong enough to cause EF2 damage across parts of eastern Arkansas, southwest Tennessee and northwest Mississippi.
The agency also warned of localized flash flooding, particularly in and around the Memphis area late tonight.
The NWS urged people not to drive through flooded roadways.
