The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said on its official social media account that it welcomed a visitor identified as Mr. Slater as he works toward meeting 1,000 law enforcement officers.
During the visit, the department said, Mr. Slater played hide-and-seek with K-9 Diesel and met several of its officers.
The department said he also added several new patches to his collection.
In the post, the department thanked him for stopping by and said, “We’re honored to be part of your journey.”
