The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said in a social media post that officers and agents from multiple state agencies were honored earlier this week at the Top Cop event.
The department said the honorees included Cameron Shaffer of the Mississippi Highway Patrol; Russ Gordon and Norman Harris of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation; Matthew Cassada and Ethan Harrell of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics; and Marcellous Charleston, Robert Alexander and Tomekia Bowling of the Capitol Police.
The department thanked the officers for their commitment to public safety and for representing the Mississippi Department of Public Safety ‘with honor and professionalism,’ the post said.
