Mississippi DPS says K-9s showed playful antics during video shoot

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said its K-9 officers acted playfully while a planned video was being recorded.

The department said the dogs are highly trained, hardworking members of Team DPS, but that being in front of a camera can bring out a different side.

The agency said the K-9s play an important role in public safety, working alongside their handlers to help keep officers and communities safe.

In its message, the department used lighthearted language and included hashtags such as #MDPS and #K9Unit.
