Mississippi DPS holds 9/11 memorial luncheon to mark 25th anniversary

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said its members held a 9/11 memorial luncheon to mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and to honor those killed.

The agency said the luncheon recognized the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call that day.

MDPS said it continues to remember those who were lost, honor those who served and stand with families forever affected by Sept. 11.

In a social media post, the department wrote, ‘We will never forget,’ and used hashtags including #September11, #NeverForget, #PatriotDay and #FirstResponders.
