Mississippi man receives 15-year sentence for methamphetamine trafficking
Dale Wayne Griggs was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking methamphetamine in Mississippi, according to court records.
Judge Michael P. Mills Jr. of the Circuit Court sentenced Griggs on May 14, 2026, to serve 40 years with 25 years suspended. Griggs is required to serve the remaining 15 years without the possibility of parole or early release.
After completing his sentence, Griggs will undergo five years of post-release supervision, court documents show. The case was investigated by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit, which was praised by the District Attorney’s Office for its efforts.
Jason D. Herring, District Attorney for the First Circuit Court District, commended law enforcement for their relentless pursuit of narcotics traffickers, according to the release.
