Mississippi to Require Driver’s Education for New Drivers Starting July 1, 2027
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety announced that beginning July 1, 2027, all new drivers in the state will be required to complete driver’s education, the department said.
The department said a list of approved instructors and programs is available on its website at dps.ms.gov to help prospective drivers find a nearby program.
The department urged prospective drivers to plan ahead to meet the new requirement, noting the requirement will take effect on the July 1 date.
