The National Weather Service issued a slight risk for severe storms for parts of the state this afternoon into tonight, June 1, 2026, the agency said.

The service warned the storms could include damaging winds, severe thunderstorms and hail up to a quarter-inch in diameter, according to the NWS.

The alert covers unspecified areas of the state and warns residents to remain alert for changing conditions, the agency said.
