NWS Memphis asks for storm reports, warns of possible second round along and south of I-40

The National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee asked residents to send reports from overnight storms and warned there is a chance of a second round of storms this afternoon for areas along and south of Interstate 40, the office said.

Officials cautioned drivers in northern West Tennessee — including Henry, Decatur and Carroll counties — to watch for minor ponding of water during the morning commute, the office said.

The office posted the warning on social media and urged the public to submit any observations from the overnight storms, it said.

The National Weather Service did not provide additional details in the post, the office said.
