NWS Memphis Warns of Gusty Winds, Heavy Rain and Possible Fog Overnight

The National Weather Service in Memphis said a few showers and thunderstorms were ongoing and that the primary concerns were gusty winds and heavy rainfall.

The agency said it will monitor conditions overnight for fog development. Probabilities are increasing for eastern portions of the area for visibilities to drop to a half-mile or less, the agency said.

The NWS Memphis post also said it had shared tips for driving in patchy fog ahead of the morning commute.

Officials did not provide additional details in the post. The National Weather Service in Memphis provided the information in its public update.
