The National Weather Service in Memphis asked residents to submit storm reports online at weather.gov/meg/submitstormreport, the office said.
The office said the reports help it issue and verify warnings and convey ongoing threats.
The website also accepts storm photos, allows users to view submitted reports and offers options to request spot forecasts and check hazard outlooks, according to the NWS Memphis website.
The site includes a briefing page and current hazards information, the office said.
