Tupelo police arrest four in connection with armed robbery
Tupelo police arrested four individuals after an armed robbery on Bryson Drive on May 28, according to authorities.
Police received a report of the robbery from a victim and obtained a description of the suspect and vehicle. That same day, officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle.
During the investigation, police identified four suspects: Kayla Turner, 25, of Tupelo; Demario Harris, 19, of Tupelo; Deon Shumpert, 22, of Tupelo; and Keryauna Wheatley, 19, of Booneville. Turner was charged with armed robbery on May 29.
Turner appeared at Tupelo Municipal Court, where Judge Harry Sumner denied her bond. The charges against all four suspects will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury, authorities said.
