Tupelo man charged in Ida B. Wells Street armed robbery
Jaquarius J. Cherry, 25, of Tupelo was arrested April 27 and charged with one count of armed robbery, the Tupelo Police Department said.
Police said a report was filed April 23 after a victim told officers a suspect approached on foot and held him at gunpoint while robbing him on Ida B. Wells Street.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Sumner ordered Cherry held without bond on April 28, court records show.
The Tupelo Police Department said the case will be presented to the Lee County grand jury. The Mississippi Department of Corrections has also placed a hold on Cherry, the department said.
