Two Olive Branch bridges to close for repairs, MDOT says
The Mississippi Department of Transportation said two bridges in Olive Branch, DeSoto County, will be closed for repairs beginning 7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.
MDOT said the Miller Road bridge over U.S. 78 will be closed from 7 a.m. Aug. 18 until 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22.
MDOT’s posts listed the Craft Road bridge over U.S. 78 with differing schedules. One advisory said the bridge would be closed from 7 a.m. Aug. 18 until 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28. A separate advisory listed the Craft Road closure from 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, to 7 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, according to the department.
MDOT said message boards will be in place to warn drivers and that motorists should seek alternate routes during the temporary closures. The department included links to more information in its social media posts, it said.
