Conn’s HomePlus to Close 70 Stores

Conn’s HomePlus, a prominent retailer specializing in home furnishings and electronics, has announced plans to close at least 70 of its stores across the United States as part of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring. Among the affected locations is the store in Southaven, Mississippi, situated at 570 Main Street off I-55.

The company made this decision public on Tuesday, revealing that stores in 13 states will be shuttered as part of the bankruptcy proceedings. Alongside the closures, Conn’s HomePlus has launched a widespread “Going Out of Business Sale,” offering significant discounts ranging between 30% to 50% on all items available both in-store and online. The sale encompasses a wide array of products including bedding, furniture, electronics, appliances, and more.

In addition to the Southaven location, another Conn’s HomePlus store in Jackson, Mississippi, is also slated for closure. The closures will impact a total of 70 stores nationwide, detailed in a comprehensive list available on the company’s official website.

Conn’s HomePlus, headquartered in Woodlands, Texas, operates as a franchise with 170 stores located across 15 states. The company’s decision to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy comes amidst efforts to restructure its operations and financial obligations.

For customers and stakeholders, detailed information regarding store closures, sale specifics, and further updates can be found on Conn’s HomePlus’ official website.
