Faith leaders urge Gipson to retract comments on Sharia law
JACKSON, Miss. — Faith leaders called on Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson to retract statements about banning Sharia law, saying the comments were misleading and inflammatory, WJTV reported.
Gipson, a Republican, told WJTV 12 News that he will not back away from his stance to ban Sharia law if elected governor, the station reported.
