Media Reports: suspect is dead, ten year old hostage is safe

Media reports from the Red Bay News are coming through that the suspect is dead and the 10 year old female hostage is safe in the standoff in Itawamba County.

From the Red Bay News:

Earlier reporting held that there were gunshots heard on live television.

The suspect, Nathan Shepard , was killed by SWAT members who entered the house around 930 pm. The second person in the home, the girls father Paul Blackburn, had been deceased since deputies first arrived.
