Missing elderly North MS man found drowned

An elderly North MS man that was reported missing was found drowned by police and emergency workers.

According to the Lee County Sheriffs Office:

On January 19, 2020, Cynthia Rook called Lee County 911 to report David Tutor missing. David was last seen at 10am leaving his residence in Saltillo to check trout lines on the east side of his property.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Department, Saltillo FD, Cedar Hill FD, Birmingham Ridge FD and Guntown FD arrived and searched the area. During the search a kayak was found that belonged to the victim on the bank turned upside down.

The victim’s body was found about 10ft from the bank. It appeared the victim fell into the water and was unable to make it back the the bank.

Coroner Carolyn Green was dispatched to the scene.

There is no foul play expected at this time.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green identifed the victim at David Tutor 77 years of age.
