Morgan Freeman will be the celebrity guest picker on ESPN’s College GameDay when the show broadcasts live from the Grove at the University of Mississippi ahead of Saturday’s No. 8 Ole Miss vs. No. 7 LSU, SuperTalk Mississippi reported Sept. 17, 2026.

SuperTalk Mississippi named Freeman as the guest picker and said he will join hosts and panelists on the show, which the report said will air Saturday from 8-11 a.m. CT on ESPN.

The report listed College GameDay hosts as Nick Saban, Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee. SuperTalk Mississippi also noted Freeman is known for roles that include the voice of God in the films Bruce Almighty and Evan Almighty.

SuperTalk Mississippi said both Ole Miss and LSU enter the matchup 2-0. The report identified LSU’s coach as Lane Kiffin, noting he is the Rebels’ former head coach.

The report said this will be College GameDay’s third stop in Oxford, after appearances on Oct. 4, 2014, and Nov. 13, 2021, and it noted Ole Miss has been undefeated in games when the show was on campus. SuperTalk Mississippi included an Ole Miss Football tweet announcing Freeman as the celebrity guest picker.
