Right At Home highlighted resources for families facing Alzheimer’s and offered tips to ease caregiving in North Mississippi on World Alzheimer’s Day, Sept. 21, WCBI reported.
The Alzheimer’s Association told WCBI that nearly 63,000 Mississippi residents age 65 and older have Alzheimer’s disease.
WCBI reported Right At Home provides non-medical in‑home care across North Mississippi, the Delta and the Jackson metro area and has offices in Starkville and Oxford.
Will Bradham, owner of Right At Home North Mississippi and the Jackson Metro Area, told WCBI that keeping a person at home — where familiarity can support cognitive ability — is an important step and that families should consult physicians or holistic providers about diet, exercise and supplements.
WCBI noted the Alzheimer’s Association website, alz.org, as a source for additional resources for people with Alzheimer’s and their families.
