Man fatally shot while breaking up domestic dispute, Jackson police say

A man was fatally shot after intervening in a domestic dispute, Jackson police said. The shooting occurred July 18 at a home in the 1300 block of Collier Avenue.

Officers who responded found 64-year-old Emanuel Lee deceased on the front porch, police said. Jackson police identified Lee as the victim.

Police said Lee was shot while attempting to break up the dispute. Authorities did not provide further details about a suspect or motive.

The Jackson Police Department said the shooting is under investigation. The department asked anyone with information to contact investigators, police said.
