Suspect wounded in Corinth officer-involved shooting, state investigators say
One person was wounded in an officer-involved shooting Friday in Corinth, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation said.
MBI officials said Corinth police had responded to a call about a domestic dispute at a residence on W. Harris Circle. Officers attempted to detain the subject, who allegedly resisted and discharged a weapon at law enforcement, the bureau said.
Officers returned fire and struck the unidentified individual, MBI said. The person was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, and no officers suffered any serious physical injuries, according to the bureau.
MBI said it is assessing the incident and will share its findings with the Attorney General’s Office.
