Tupelo police issue warrant for armed and dangerous capital murder suspect

Capital Murder Suspect Named
On 04-11-2022 Tupelo Police secured an Arrest Warrant for Capital Murder for Nijel Valdez Hall (male, black, 5 foot 11 inches, 175 pounds, 23 years old).
This was in relation to the 04-08-2022 homicide on Hodges Drive in Tupelo.

Tupelo Police and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force have been attempting to locate Hodges since the arrest warrant was issued. The latest intelligence indicates that Hall may have fled from our area and is possibly the Memphis area.
Hall should be considered armed and dangerous.

### Original Release ###
On 04-08-2022 at approximately 10:00 pm Tupelo Police were dispatched to Hodges Drive for a shooting. Officers located an adult male deceased at the residence. The victim had a suspected gunshot wound. Early indications are that some type of disturbance occurred prior to the shooting. The preliminary homicide investigation is ongoing. Witness statements and forensic evidence are being collected and evaluated. When suspect information is developed it will be released.
