About 15 people may be missing after Grand Canyon flash flood, National Park Service says

About 15 people may be missing or unaccounted for after a flash flood struck the Grand Canyon, the National Park Service said Sunday.

The park’s communications office said in a release that the flood ripped through Bright Angel Canyon and the Phantom Ranch area on Saturday.

The release also referenced the Bright Angel Trail, the communications office said.
