Britain Plans to Send Destroyer to Strait of Hormuz, Military Says

The British military said it plans to send a destroyer to help secure the Strait of Hormuz if and when a war with Iran ends.

The Royal Fleet Auxiliary Lyme Bay was in the port of Gibraltar in 2014, the military said.

The planned deployment, the military said, would be contingent on the end of hostilities with Iran.

The destroyer would be sent to help secure a strategic waterway, the military said.
