CBS and Paramount withdrew copyright challenges that sought to limit distribution of a clip showing Stephen Colbert on a Michigan cable-access show, the companies said.
The companies did not provide additional details about the challenges or why they were withdrawn.
Colbert ended his run as host of “The Late Show” on Friday.
No other public comment was issued by CBS, Paramount or representatives for Colbert.
