Cristian Mungiu’s ‘Fjord’ wins Palme d’Or at Cannes
Romanian director Cristian Mungiu won the Palme d’Or at the 79th Cannes Film Festival on Saturday for his film “Fjord,” festival organizers said.
The festival described “Fjord” as a culture-war drama set in Norway.
The awards ceremony was held in Cannes, in southern France, the festival said.
