KFF Health News reported that disabled patients have faced Medicaid denials after errors in complex computer systems that determine benefits.
One disabled patient told KFF Health News, “I just wanted to give up,” the report said.
The report said the computer systems have a history of errors and are now being inundated by changes meant to comply with a Trump-era tax and domestic policy law.
KFF Health News documented the issues and their impact on beneficiaries, the organization said.
