President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday that reduces the number of vaccines recommended for children and encourages separating some shots into different doctor visits, according to the order.
Doctors who spoke with CBS News about the order urged parents to talk with their children’s pediatricians to determine what is best for each child, the network reported.
The physicians told CBS News that parents should review vaccine schedules and any changes with a pediatrician before altering a child’s vaccinations, the report said.
CBS News reported the comments from medical professionals in response to the executive order, and recommended that parents consult trusted health providers about vaccine decisions for their children.
