An offensive lineman kicked Minnesota quarterback Drake Lindsey in the groin during a post-play celebration at Huntington Bank Stadium, and the Golden Gophers still completed a 20-14 upset of Michigan.

Fox News’ OutKick reported Oct. 4, 2026, that offensive lineman Bennett Warren delivered the kick after Minnesota secured a first down, striking Lindsey in the groin during the celebration.

The report said Minnesota, listed as 8.5-point underdogs, stormed the field after the win. The Gophers improved to 4-1 and are scheduled to travel to West Lafayette next weekend to face Purdue, the report added.
